Bristol International Balloon Fiesta

The Bristol International Balloon Fiesta has evolved to become the largest hot air balloon festival in Europe, attracting over 500,000 people and displays of over 100 balloons. The fiesta begins with the Special Shapes launch on Thursday 6th August 2009 at 6pm and has mass launches daily at 6am and 6pm (weather permitting).
The highlight of the balloon fiesta is the Night Glow which are scheduled for Thursday 6th and Saturday 8th August 2009 creating a spectacular vision of over 30 tethered balloons illuminating the night sky with a variety of lighting techniques accompanied by music. This is an event that should not be missed and we would highly recommend you arrive early to secure a good viewing area as the crowds will be large!
Alongside the balloon displays, you will find a lovely continental market, music stages, circus and theatre entertainment and air displays.
